Women's Rugby Football Club
About
The UVM Women's Rugby Football club is a student-run club sport. We compete in the New England Wide Collegiate Rugby Conference in Division II in the fall, and in the spring we play in and host various tournaments. Everyone is welcome to come and play, regardless of experience or skill level. We put out both an A (experienced) and B (inexperienced) side, and all players get playing time. As a team, we continue to work hard to contribute to the community through volunteer efforts in conjunction with the Women's Rape Crisis Center and organizations like Casting for Recovery.
This team was established to learn and play the game of rugby and to provide high level physical conditioning, while learning good sportsmanship as well as developing a good sense of camaraderie.
In the fall, we practice on the pitch located at the corner of Main St. and East Ave. next to the Double Tree Hotel.
In the spring, we practice on the turf fields in Patrick Gymnasium.
If you are interested in playing, please email anna.donaldson@uvm.edu for more information!
